Cheddar Bob is an amazingly smart, 3yr old boy who only knew his family for his whole life until he found himself euth listed at animal control. The reason for surrendering him? They were downsizing to a smaller house. Cheddar's current foster family absolutely adores him and know him very well! Cheddar doesn't care about cats AT ALL and is so good with other dogs that his foster family uses him to test other dogs to find out if THEY are dog friendly! He would love a home with another playful dog friend. His foster family would love to see him go to a home that is willing to continue working on his training OR that is willing to accept him for how he is now. His biggest flaw? He's kind of a jerk to strangers. His behavior seems to be mostly stemming from over excitement and is 100% easily manageable. It is easy to learn about this behavior right away from the foster because Cheddar will be greeting his potential adopters the same way he would treat any other stranger. With that being said, it take him VERY little time to no longer consider you a stranger and once he is "cool" with you, he is "cool" with you for life! IF you want to put the work into training with him, his foster can show you how to completely eliminate his poor behavior towards strangers entirely! The only reason they have not done the training themselves is because they have been extremely overwhelmed caring for the other 5 dogs in their home and working full time!
